Electronic Poker is a favored game that usually will be gambled on in casinos throughout the world, or alternatively at home on your PC, through a net account. The game rules are very straightforward and consist of the player attempting to get the highest combination of cards achievable in order to acquire cash. On this account it is much the same as a regular game of poker, without the interaction with competing players. Of course, methods used in a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be useless in Video Poker.
The game of Electronic Poker starts when the player puts credits (either tokens, tickets or cash) into the video poker machine and pushes the deal button. A hand of 5 cards will be electronically ‘given out’ on the screen.
The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and bettors should now decide which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the player would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they want, from all to none.
After the bettor has decided on which cards he wishes to retain, the player will then press ‘draw’, which will mean that any fresh cards will be handed out if desired. The game is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands listed in the payout schedule.
Generally, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the pay out schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that discerning gamblers are able to choose the most beneficial machine every time.
Once the first round has played out, the player can either choose to continue on and try to to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that might have been won. Additionally, some versions of the game allow the gambler an opportunity to double their winnings, in which instance another hand is played. There are also differences between individual games, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other differing aspects to increase playability.
