Learning Play Video Poker

[ English ]

Electronic Poker is a popular game that usually will be wagered on in casinos around the world, or in your house on your personal computer, through a web account. The rules are absolutely straightforward and involve the player attempting to achieve the greatest combination of cards possible in order to come away with cash. In this respect it’s very similar as a regular game of poker, minus the line of contact with any other players. Of course, techniques employed during a real-life game of poker, like bluffing, will be irrelevant in Video Poker.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the player puts credits (whether it’s tokens, credit slips or cash) into the machine and pushes the draw button. A five card hand will then be electronically ‘dealt’ on the screen.

The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and gamblers should now pick which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they want, from all to none.

After the bettor has chosen which cards she would like to keep, they should press ‘draw’, which will mean that any fresh cards are needed they will be handed out. The game is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands printed on the payout schedule.

Typically, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payment schedule can change from machine to machine, so that skillful enthusiasts are agile enough to select the most money-making machine each time.

Once the first round has finished, the player can either choose to continue on and try to to maximize their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that they may have won. Further, several versions of the game allow the bettor a chance to double their profits, in which situation another game is played. There are also differences among individual machines, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other differing aspects to enhance playability.
