Electronic Poker is a favored game that usually will be gambled on in casinos all over the globe, or alternatively at home on your PC, through an Internet account. The game of Electronic Poker begins when the gambler inserts credits (either tokens, credit slips or cash) into the video poker machine and presses the deal button. A 5 card hand will then be "handed out" on the video screen.
The Video Poker machine also has hold buttons, and players will need to now pick which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they wish, whether it is all or none.
After the gambler has decided on which cards he or she wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘draw’, at which point any new cards are handed out if desired. The round is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the payment schedule.
Normally, the lowest winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each and every better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It should be known that the payout schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that discerning bettors are agile enough to choose the most beneficial machine each instance.
Once the initial round has completed, the player can either choose to continue on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that they may have won. Further, some styles of the game allow the player a chance to double their profits, in which situation another game is played. There are also variations among individual machines, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing aspects to enhance playability.
