Electronic Poker is a beloved game that can be gambled on in casinos all over the globe, or in your house on your PC, using an Internet account. The game rules are absolutely straightforward and involve the player trying to get the highest mixture of cards possible in order to acquire cash. In this respect it’s very similar as a normal game of poker, minus the involvement with any other players. Of course, methods used in a real-life game of poker, like tricking, will be useless in Video Poker.
The game of Video Poker starts when the gambler puts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the video poker machine and presses the play button. A five card hand will be electronically ‘given out’ on the video screen.
The Video Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and gamblers should now choose which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they want, whether it is all or none.
After the gambler has chosen which cards she would like to retain, they should press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards will be dealt if desired. The round is now completed, with the Video Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.
Generally, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payout schedule can change from game to game, so that experienced enthusiasts are able to select the most beneficial machine each and every time.
Once the first round has completed, the player can either choose to stay on and try to to maximize their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that they may have won. Additionally, a few styles of the game give the player an opportunity to increase their wins, in which case a further round is played. There are also differences between individual games, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other differing elements to enhance playability.
