Electronic Poker is a popular game that can be enjoyed in casinos across the globe, or alternatively at your house on your home computer, through a web connection. The rules are very simple and consist of the player attempting to get the best assemblage of cards as you can in order to acquire cash. On this account it is much the same as a regular game of poker, minus the interaction with any other players. The game of Electronic Poker starts when the player puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or cash) into the machine and pushes the draw button. A 5 card hand will be electronically ‘distributed’ on the screen.
The Video Poker machine also has hold buttons, and bettors should now choose which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the player would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they wish, from all to none.
After the bettor has selected which cards he or she would like to retain, they should press ‘draw’, which will mean that any fresh cards will be dealt if desired. The round is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the payment schedule.
Generally, the minimum winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money growing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It is obvious that the payment schedule can range from game to game, so that discerning players are able to choose the most profitable game each and every time.
Once the first round has completed, the player can either choose to stay on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that they may have won. Additionally, some styles of the game give the player an opportunity to double their wins, in which instance another game is played. There are also differences between individual machines, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other varying elements to increase playability.
